Monte Gets Snubbed
Monte Ellis gets overlooked for All-Star consideration which is as unjust as it gets. Every single year this happens, the fans get to vote for their favorite players to go to the N.B.A. All-Star game and every year the same thing happens someone gets snubbed.
This year that player is no doubt Golden State Warrior shooting guard Monte Ellis who is 6th in the league in scoring with 25.1 and is leading all scoring guards in assists with 5.6 assists per game. Ellis is very sound defensively and also one of the best players in the game. Why did Monte get snubbed? The problem lies in a few areas, the fans for one and the system for another. How Yao Ming can get voted to be a starter for the West this year when Yao has only played 5 games is just ridiculous and silly. I got an idea, how about the N.B.A. elect to instate a rule that puts a minimum games played to be considered for All Star consideration, also how about the fans only account for half of the vote while players and coaches make up the rest. There needs to be a change to the format or just don't have the game at all because it is just absurd.
This also happens in every sport, last baseball season the National League M.VP. Joey Votto wasn't selected for the M.L.B. All-Star game and the N.F.L.'S Pro-Bowl is an insult to a fans intelligence. I don't think anyone voted in plays in the game, it is all second and third stringers because magically every starter voted in has some kind of injury that would never keep them from playing in a regular season game.
Think back over the last few years have you really enjoyed any of these games? I know I haven't and more and more these game are not about the game but about the festivities that go along. So I propose this, do away with the games and call it a All-Star weekend keep the slam dunk and 3 point contest in the NBA, keep the home run derby in baseball, send some fans to Hawaii instead of the players who can afford to go there in the off season since the players who get voted in come up with a ridiculous injury to not play anyway.

The Knick's Magic Day
The Knicks will get Melo
One of the biggest days of the New York Knicks season is coming up, this date is February 25. This is the day after the trade deadline. If Carmelo Anthony Nets by this time, there is no way Carmelo is not a Knick in Free Agency. What the Knicks must do is stall, do what ever they can to get the Nuggets to not trade Carmelo Anthony to the Nets. Melo doesn't want to be a Net, Melo has said that he WANTS to be a Knick. Some have suggested that the Knicks should trade to get Melo, this is the WORST possible thing the Knicks could do at this time. The Knicks have a very good young core of talent and to trade that away would devastate there future lineup. The Knicks need to wait, wait a month and the Dream of Amare and Melo will be in the Garden.

Where will the Hornets Land?
There are many options to where the Hornets could land, because the league has bought the team. The rumors flying around for the future of the Hornets vary by source.
Options
Stay In New Orleans- There is a chance that the Hornets could stay in the New Orleans. It all depends if they can find an owner in the area that wants to keep the Hornets in New Orleans.
Kansas City- Kansas City has a new arena so the city and new owner doesn’t have to pay to have one built, only problem is finding someone that wants to buy the team and bring the Hornets to Kansas City.
Las Vegas- Las Vegas has a huge market. It wouldn’t be hard to find an owner. Bad- Its in Las Vegas and gambling could become a problem.
Chicago- Chicago has two baseball teams that produce healthy competition. Why not in basketball? It could be good to have another rivalry in the NBA.
